If you are looking to learn how to shoot, edit and produce your own videos then our beginners filmmaking and videography course will set you off on the right tracks from the very beginning of your filmmaking journey.
We’ll cover all of the essential filmmaking techniques you need to produce your first video using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, including which camera settings to use, how to best light your scenes, creating a narrative and storyline to your video and how to capture great audio in any situation. We’ll also look at the equipment you’ll need and make suggestions for what to buy within your budget.
This practical 2 day course is led by professional filmmaker Mike who will guide you through all the individual elements required to capture professional footage and edit it together into a your final product. You’ll learn about shutter speed, aperture and ISO which are the building blocks to all photography and videography. We’ll teach you how your lens choice will affect your final shot, how to use white balance, capture stabilized footage and so much more. We will include as well some tips to make amazing aerial videos using drones equipped with the best accessories available on the market.
We run this as a 1-2-1 filmmaking course so we can really focus on improving your skills and you have our full attention. You will improve your skills far quicker this way as opposed to joining a group session where the instructor is trying to help 10 people at once. It also has the added advantage of you being able to book a date and time that suits you.
